One and Two

One day
One gets in a fight with two
Realises in a relationship everything is blue
He wondered how did he get so glued
But then he thought
What’s the point now that when everything is so screwed

One day, its one’s birthday
he knows its his own day
Lonely and sad he feels hopeless
Two hadn’t even wished him
He thought, ‘Can she care even less?’
The prejudice between two of them had become strong
But by the end of day
He hoped all of it is bygone

To One’s bewilderment
Two throws a party
Decorating one’s room with a one ballon, one cracker and one cake
she calls in her one new friend
Three

Now three,
with two curves she’s perfect
but like one she ain’t straight
Two sees her and feels free
For in her she sees
the sum total of what with one she could ever be
Both of them rhyme
For they were opposite and prime
Ditching one they unite and become

Five
Odd like three
Third to be prime
Five likes both of them equally fine
Choosing three he becomes

Eight
Complicated and failed
Infinite but up straight
Four times two
But neither prime nor blue
Catching five becomes

Thirteen
Odd like one and three
Equally fair and free
Adding to the complication of eight
becomes

Twenty one
two and one
Both of them come together again
Realising the game is endless

Two realises everything is one
For they all are numbers within
only to be dissolved and
be zero like nothing
